• Pleased to meet you.

Growing up in the performing arts, Eva is no stranger to the concept of creating new worlds. As a one-woman show, she is in charge of both the vision and the process. Eva has 8 years of experience gardening for clients, landscaping, and working at garden centers. She is a certificate student for ecological gardening at Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, DE. and has taken classes toward horticulture and landscape design certificates at Longwood Gardens in Kennett, Pa.

Eva’s focus in landscaping is using native plants, nativars, and pollinator-friendly, non-invasive ornamentals to re-inform the way we think about residential gardens. While educating customers at previous jobs she developed a vision to equip her clients and community with the knowledge and wherewithal they need to be successful in their own gardens.

  • Why choose a gardener?

The advantage to having a regular gardener is that someone will be considering the needs of your garden throughout the season. A gardener is able to take constant consideration for how your lifestyle fits your space, and employ continuous development of the overall vision as plants grow together. Eva’s specialty is in pruning and editing plants to highlight the best moments they have to offer throughout the seasons.

  • The plants.

Eva’s plant choices take into account the highest priorities while using a broad scope of options to enhance the creativity of a design and problem-solve what works best for the space. Though the goal is to excite and educate homeowners about native plants, Eva does not claim to use entirely native straight species.

Eva’s work is a part of a collective effort to reshape how people think about what they are choosing to plant as well as what they are choosing to weed. Delaware is currently in the process of passing a law that bans the import and resale of over thirty invasive species. The effort gives us hope that more landscapers will default to using plants that are beneficial to our ecosystem. Therefore, Eva has a strict policy against planting anything that is on that list.

  • Let's play.

Interest in gardening has grown exponentially as more homeowners are spending increased time in their own space. Eva wants to be able to take away the mystery and intimidation beginners face when handling plants and tools, managing their weeds, pruning, and even designing. Whether you want to work alongside her or hire her for general services, she will make sure you know everything that is going on in your outdoor world.
